Essential oils and natural immunology

Spring time has arrived and many colourful and design diffusers flowrish in the shops, this encouraged me to learn more about natural ways to reinforce our immunology system.  As we all know,  a good eating habits and maintaining physical exercises help overcoming flu or allergic season. So, let’s have a look at the benefits of essential oils.

Clean up the air of a room

A few drops of Eucalyptus oil in a electronic diffuser is enough to regenerate the air of a room. The anti-sceptic oil allows to sanitize the rooms and protects us from contagious infections. However, Eucalyptus is not recommended for people with asthma.  Instead, you can use 60 drops of palmarosa essential oil. It has the anti-virus and anti bacteria properties. In option, we can mix with 60 drops of lemon oil in the mixture by using a diffuser.

For a cold treatment

If you got a cold, thyme essential oil could help to clear the airways and it calms down inflamation.

As you feel better, Lemon oil in the diffusor twice a day is enough to naturally purify the air of a room. If not, you can burn citrus skins which keeps the house smells good too.

Ear, nose and throat disorders

We heard a lot about Tea tree essential oil due to its various possible applications. What is it ? It comes from a plant called Melaleuca which grows in Australia. It has topical cleansing, rejuvenating and purifying properties.

It’s common to get sick when temperatures start to change or during season change. When our throat hurts, we tend to rush at the pharmacy to buy a sirup or a nose spray. Again, tea tree essential oil can help you get better. I often put 2 or 3 drops of it in a teaspoon of honey that I also drink  with a hot lemon tea glass. I use the treatment for 5 days and definitively it works !

For tea lovers, matcha tea is a wellknown component to reinforce your immune system.

As a sanitizer

You can also add a few drops of essential oil of tea tree to your hydroalcoholic gel to wash your hands.  Or simply a few drops diretly on your hands and you will feel your skin gets softer and clean.

Diffusing Tea Tree oil benefits the air in your home because it purifies and freshens as it disperses. You can also mix/blend it with one or 2 drops of lemon, or peppermint essential oil to your diffuser to cleanse the air and relax…

Usage caution : essential oils are strong , please follow the instructions.

Finally, Sunlight is a good factor for immune system protection, so 15 to 20 mn a day at sunlight is enough to maintain your Energy !
